Snappy Webmail to Be Removed August 1, 2025

I’m going to keep this short and direct because this isn’t a negotiation. It is a courtesy announcement.

As of August 1, 2025, the Snappy webmail interface will be removed from the MXroute platform. If you’ve been using it, you’ve got a few weeks to migrate your webmail habits over to Roundcube or your favorite email client.

Why? Simple: We don’t have the bandwidth to maintain two separate webmail interfaces to the standard we expect. Trying to juggle both Snappy and Roundcube has created a scenario where neither is getting the attention it deserves, and that’s a problem. Not because Snappy has issues, but because the way we’ve had to manage it makes us more likely to create issues down the road. That’s not a risk I’m willing to take.

We’d rather do one thing well than two things poorly. Roundcube stays. Snappy goes.

This isn’t us “pivoting,” and it’s not some giant shift in our values. It’s just about focus and not creating a mess we can’t clean up later. The end result will be a tighter, more secure webmail experience. An experience that we can actually commit to improving.

We appreciate the understanding (or at least the acceptance). If Snappy was your daily driver, it’s a good time to fire up Roundcube and get comfortable. It’s not going anywhere.
