Important Update Regarding iOS Push Notifications

Here's a situation we need to discuss. Apple has discontinued an endpoint we were using to generate certificates for iOS Mail push notifications. This endpoint was part of the now-deprecated MacOS Server application, which we and many other providers had been using for this purpose. While our current push notification system remains fully functional, this change creates some uncertainty for the future.

To be specific: We're still successfully delivering push notifications to your iOS devices. Your current notification setup continues to work as expected. However, the certificate generation process through MacOS Server is no longer available, and at present, there doesn't appear to be a direct replacement.

It's worth noting this isn't about regular push notification certificates used for standard iOS apps. This was a specific implementation through MacOS Server that allowed us to provide mail push notifications, and its future availability is now uncertain.

We're actively exploring all possible alternatives and working closely with other service providers to identify solutions. However, we want to be upfront: there's a possibility that third-party mail providers may face limitations with iOS Mail app push notifications once current certificates expire.

For the immediate future, everything continues to function normally. We're committed to finding the best path forward and will keep you updated as we learn more.
